Title: cold start

can anyone help when i start my 2.0l gti 8v 1996 it starts straight away but then cuts out once i have driven it for about one 3rd of a mile it ok, if i park up for about two hours the same problem happens again, i've changed the idle control valve which is on the left side of the engine bay but has'nt made any difference please help           ian

look at the troubleshooting posts about relays/throttle body cleaning.
