Title: Special Mk3 Purchase, Advice on if to mod or not????

Hi Guys,

Im back on the mk3 gti scene after spending 8 dear months with a mk4 GTI Anniversary 1.8T I have been lured back by a Mk3 GTI, 3dr, Black, 1995, 8v with FVWSH and wait for it 43K yes 43K. Its a minter from a blokes dad at work who sold it to myself for a nice price.

The car drives superbly and tight as a button feels like new. Now what to do should I keep it standard and enjoy the car until i have enough cash to buy my dream brand new mk5 GTI in say 12 months time or do I mod it tastefully and enjoy cheap motoring in an older but cheaper modded car slammed on 17's!!!!

Any suggestions?????

If you really want a Mk 5 then I'd say dont waste money on it mate coz what you spend you will never get back!

No if it was a 16V with air-con my opinion would differ.......
