Title: How easy?

Is it to change the bushes on a manual steering rack?  Is it worth doing the tie rod ends at the same time?  I am assuming (maybe incorrectly) that the tie rods have to be disconnected to slide off the bushes, or are they split?

Sorry for the multiple questions, but you know, one just led to the next!!

You can cut the old ones of but to put the new ones on you will have to take the track rod ends of.Thats assuming you mean the steering rack gaiters.

I was thinking of the mounting bushes rather than the gaiters, but is the process the same for dismantling?

If you mean the rubber mounting that hold the steering rack to the car then i don't think you do have to take all the track rod ends of.Should just be four bolts to either side.I think the rubber mounts come split so you can slot them over the rack.
