Ok, So me and my brother took my 8v Shopper to Snetterton yesterday, loads of fun. The first time I have driven on track in my own car. We also took our friends 1991 BMW 735i, but we kind of broke that...ooops.

Didn't take the new G60, as it's only just gone in to the local expert for a check over...
If you've not already done a trackday, get your car sorted and do one now !! You won't regret it.

Nice one :) I keep getting emails about cheap track days so will have to get round to it!

Sounds quality! How does insurence work if you have a unfortunate? If we do one is there room for my brother in laws TVR Tuscan?
-
Your insurance normally won't cover it. You have three options.
1) Don't insure, and drive reasonably carefully
2) Phone existing insurer and ask about track cover
3) Take out additional track day cover

1) Carefully - Like thats gonna happen!
2) Existing insurer - pants down and get shafted
3) Additional cover - I think thats the one to go for right?
-
3) Yeah,
You can get cover for the one day, or no doubt for a whole year. Ask the people you book the day with.

i can do annual track day cover for free on most of our fully comp policies if anyone is interested......

1) dont think you actually need any cover, your just stuffed if you stack it!
2) most will laugh then hang up!!
3) you can buy single event cover but dont know much about it im afraid...

just curious, did they do many noise tests etc @ snetterton?? I went to one at castle combe and they were stopping loads of cars (most which were quieter then mine ) from going on track for being to noisy!!
-
No Noise testing at Snetterton as far as I know.
We have used Bedford as well, but they were quite hot on it there.
Silverstone had no limits either as far as I remember.
-
Cool!! Snettertons not that far from me (so not to far to get towed home after  ), always wanted to have a go at a track day as a few friends have done them and had a wicked time!!
Gotta get another () new clutch fitted before i can do one tho.....
-

yuo can buy cover at Snetterton it`s about £100 fully comp and covers just about every eventuality .,even getting you home .
Get your clutch done afterwards ,mine lasted on my impreza ,its not too hard on your car either . Go on an Evo magazine open track day ,get as many laps as you want ,and go round with Touring car drivers like Phil Bennett and Rob Barfe in the Evo fleet .
