what does every1 think
-
looks quite tidy what bout mileage! ???
-
does not say i will have to go along and check it out is the exhaust right coz it looks to low down
-
def not but nothin to drastic to sort out ;)
-
looks nice, always wanted a red golf gti but got a black one instead.
looks pretty cleran aswell but ive noticed that about most vw's of that age or even older.
5door be cheaper on insurance aswell
-
I think the 5 door is more expensive due to more passenger seats. Nice car though. Not a big fan of 4 doors but it looks very clean and decent :)
-
i always thought 5doors were cheaper as in family car rather than young boys car
-
Looks fairly clean! I'd check the milage though. Looks to be an 8 valve. Have a look around the front for accident damage though. That looks like a 16v grille (blacked out VW emblem) and there is not a GTI emblem up front. Interior looks great. Lett us know what you find out. Don't worry on the exhaust. Standard exhaust systems are cheap. :)
-
My 16v dosent have gti emblem up front, was nicked :'(
-
I wouldn't get it. Get a 3dr 16v if I were you - if u look around u could def get for that price - I'll find u one :)
-
is there a diff with mk2s as to how many people can be seated?
with mk3s 3 or 5 door its always 5 people.
so it cant be the num of seating affecting insurance.. if anything a 3 door is safer for people in the back (i think..) because if its anything like my polo there are some big fat bars protecting hte rear passengers.. plus a 3 door is safer for younger kids.. no doors or windows to fall out of
i always thought it was 5 doors were (stereotpyically) for fam's...
-
my mk2 only sits 4 legally as there is no middle seatbelt in the rear
-
The 5dr was orig more expensive but now its not the case. I wanted a 5dr coz Its nearly imposs to get a saddle out of a 3dr but thats just personal use. :)
-
saddle? lol
well i got a 3 door.. coz i dont like how 5 doors look.. if i carried a lot of people around then i'd have more doors
-
yup not only do I have a sweet car but I have a pretty horse too. :)
I prefer 3 door but it wouldn't be practical for me unf. thats why I want a second car to play with. ;D
-
looks tidy matey, no one can decide for you as wether you want 3 or 5dr, 8v or 16v, the choice is yours think what would be best and scan around, try www.autotrader.co.uk register and enter your details then you can locate how far they are to where you are!, also try the classified sections of sites like this! oh and the others
-
i am aimin for a 8v because i wont afford insurance on a 16v cant find any decent ones near me though there all about 100mile away the red one is close by i am goin to check it out on the weekend
-
dont just buy the first one you see its worth travelling around and looking at a few then going back to the first one if others not to your liking etc!!
-
Looks nice however check for leaks - windows look severly misted up in the picture and it could be the old leaky Mk II problem (door cards & blocked drainage holes).
