Post by: pariah on 06 December 2003, 15:22
Im new to this and dont have a great deal of mechanical expertise. Looking forward to rectifying this.

so here are my questions

i have bought a mk2 GTI D reg for 500 Quid, 89,000 miles FSH, BBS Alloys,  Atlas Grey, 12 Months MOT, standard throughout. Damage to passenger door hence wanting to change the doors.

So have i got a good deal and can i change the doors???

Thanks

They will bolt one no probs. I had 90 spec doors on my old 86 8v with no probs.

That would really depend on where your at. I'm in Suffolk. Have always done my own body work and paint in the past but right now I have no place to do it. My neighbor would pitch a fit if i started spraying cars in my garage as his is attached to mine. :)

resprays... Accident repair places are good as they are highly qualified.
before getting a spray job done ask for pictures and demos then decide.

I was quoted ?700-800 for a full spray to the original colour.
