Title: shed light on rear light issue

everywhere i go i see mark4 golfs with the passenger side rear lights not working.  my car seems to have caught this disease and i'm constantly having to replace bulbs or twiddle with the wires?  is this some kind of golf defect?

take it into a VW dealer and ask. if it is you may get it fixed for free. sounds like something is shorting out somewhere though. might only be doing it now and then which eplains why the light works and then stops.

never had mine do that!!!! come to think of it never seen any mk4s with the passenger back lights out!! ;D
