I wan wondering what size tyres come as standard on Golf GTi 1.8T's? Is it the 195's or the 205's?

205's. Has anyone stepped up to 225s on the standard 1.8T rims by the way? (did exactly this on my coupe - 205s to 225s fitted not probs)

think putting 225s on your rims is a bit point less, there not gonna look any different really and affect the handeling/conering of your car the standard rims aint really wide enough but there ya go!, ive got 225s on my 8" wide rims wouldnt put em on anything thinner ???
