The golf I bought was originally from Holland (came into this country via Motorpoint) and the warranty runs out in July. Do UK dealers honour the vw 3 year warranty with it supposidly being classed as an import.

1 way to find out... call the local and ask :)

My mates TT ran the 3yr warranty, only some things were excluded,,, this was about 4yrs ago.. as Dizzie says though, phn your dealer!

I'd imagine they would though, i mean a warranty is a deal with the manufacturer not the agent.

Not necessarily true. When some cars are imported from Europe, they are only supplied with a 1yr warranty, and the dealers add another 2yrs courtesy of the manufacturer. Check your service book, and if the PDI was carried out abroad, then you may not be eligible for the warranty.

I stand corrected :embarassed:
Like dizzie says, give em a ring... the worst they can do is say no.

Cheers for the responce, there`s nowt they can do until I get the car registered onto vw (somethin or other). So godda go down at weekend armed with a shed load of id and all that malarky.
