Title: Any sign of mudflaps ?
Post by: adw555 on 08 May 2006, 08:34
 ..cos after just washing and polishing my car...I'm really annoyed at how the doors are getting stonechipped ....dont understand why VW wont supply mudflaps for the GTI!

I wouldn't mind some rally style red ones

I bought a set that were meant to be for the GTI, basically just stock Golf items with a bit cut out for the sills but they do not fit at all. I cut a bit more off to fit round the sill but even with this they sit in very close to the car and would offer virtually no protection to the side of the car. Was just thinking again today I need to try to get something sorted maybe using some type of universal flap. If VW made a set for the GTI it would be so much easier!

Just been to my local dealer and there are now flaps available for the Mk 5 GTI both front and rear, at about 30 quid a pair
