Title: How can I find out what bhp it is
Post by: teash on 07 May 2006, 15:21
Golf I just bought stated in ad. it was a 130, just done some online quotes for insurance and its come up on screen that its a 150. Is there an easy way (without taking it to be tested) of me finding out the correct bhp.
Cheers, Ash

I take it this is a Mk 4 TDI?

Look in the boot (under the carpet) there should be a factory placed sticker near the spare wheel well that will tell you what lump is under the bonnet.

If you ring a VW dealership with the reg number and vin number if possible and they should be able to tell you.

Cheers for your replies. Meself I think its a 130 (only because i`ve looked at that many of em over the past few weeks) then again i`m probably wrong because it originally came from a dealership that bring most of their cars from Jersey? I think.
