Overpriced, or good investment ?
I'm thinking of putting some on standard shocks ?
-
Looking at doing the same thing myself... Have heard putting them with Boge Turbo Gas shocks/struts is a good setup.
-
Yeah, don't want to spend too much on them though. Got to pay to get them fitted too !
-
Yeah same here, not confident enough to fit them myself, nor have the tools to do so. They do run well with standard shocks though so I'm told.

i have eibach springs on my car lowered 40mm with koni ajustable shocks they are top quality springs,
have a go at changing them yourself they are very easy to do you just need some spring
clamps and a few tools ,the only thing you need to have done after is your camber set up
as its ajustable on front shocks and needs to be done or your tyres will wear quickly ,
kwikfit did mine for £80 with tracking included.
-
Ok cheers.
£80 seems expensive for a camber ajustment & tracking ?!!
-
I have a set on mine with the Boge Turbo shocks....FANTASTIC setup...can't fault it

yes its expensive but i could only find one other place that would do it which was abp motorsport
and they wanted £60 just to do the camber only, that was 16miles away from where i live, there dont seem to be many places that do it where i live anyway.

Ah there are advantages to living in the north - full camber and tracking at my local VW specialist (General Motors, Stockport - if I mention them enough they will have to give me a discount ) is £45. And so it should be it, only takes 20 mins if you know what your doing and nothing's seized. And if you go to Quackfit when they tell you it need new shocks, exhaust, pollen filter etc etc etc put your fingers in your ears and La La La very loudly  Apparently VW dealers charge about £67 - there was a thread about it around here somewhere - and they should know what they're doing.
Barkstar :nerd:

Thanks for that heads up Barkstar, I'm just around the corner from Stockport in Denton, so I know where i'll be going when I get mine lowered and need the camber doing.
