Last Friday an idiot in a BMW ran into the back of my '92 MK2 Golf GTI on the M11 at about 50mph. It had only just done 80,000 miles and was perfect apart from a few stone chips, i am now pretty distraught as i wont find another like it - unless someone has one for sale?
It is a write-off because of the bad damage to the front, rear and roof is creased. But the inside is perfect and the engine is nearly new at 80K. I would like to know if it is worth keeping it and selling the good bits on or just have some local scrappy take it who probably won't know the value of such a car. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gutting mate...personally, I would reckon that it would be worth stripping the good parts and selling them on the enthusiasts, whatever is left, get the scrappy boys to come get

scrap it and buy my minter.

Sorry to here about your missfortune,
Should you consider breaking it I would be interested in the engine if its a 16V and standard, provided I could here it running first.

Buy it back from insurance co. and strip it for bits.
