I don't think you get a good idea of the true colour from the pictures but having seen one at a dealers I know it works beautifully with the GTI. Stunning example. I bet your glad your past all the waiting, worst part of buying a GTI I would have thought.
-
Looks really good mate, got to wait another 6 weeks for mine
Are they 18"?
-
yes Bodge, 18's but the angle of the photo doesn't do it real justice
-
told you blue graphite looks great!!!!
-
Nice looking car..
-
I keep staring at the paint! I can't quite work it out, but it looks so flipping good in the flesh.... The pics look good but the colour is really stunning...
-
I forgot to add that the doors have been programmed to self lock above 10 mph....
-
Its all gravy dude

3 months waiting now

Hi Matt.
The car looks beautiful.   Make sure you look after it & ensure you clean it! I have my GTI cleaned once a month by a valeter & I clean it once a week. You need to make sure that the wheels are cleaned (soapy warm water is fine, but don't use washing liquid). This will ensure the wheels are protected & the chrome will not be damaged in time.
By doing the above, I've not had any problems with rusty hubs that many others have mentioned on this site.
How do you programme the doors to lock after 10mph??
-
Hey Ed, get the dealer to sort the program to lock the doors... it'll take them 10 minutes..........
I've got supaguard so hopefully it'll stay nice and clean........ just wish my flipping neighbour would stop feeding the birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm looking forward to a nice night drive tonight, i need to see what these bi-xenons are like
-
There GREAT - If anyone flashes you with Bi-xenons they burn your retinas out!

PMSL at that  We had them on the A3 but the Golf Xenons look better...........................
Just been checking the alarm and doing some other boring stuff, shame my shades don't fit in the holder by the interior light
The details just keep catching my eye...
The vents for the rear that are fitted in the back of the armrest are cool, also the drinks holders and chunky rear armrest.... Not that i'll be sitting in the back mind  I haven't quite filled all the storage spaces, blimey these motors have some room in them!!! The net under the parcel shelf is neat.................

Nice motor. Hope you enjoy it

Good afternoon Matt.
I cannot believe your shades don't fit in the holder - You must have a big head!
It sounds as though you like music (improved the stereo), so it could be a blessing your shades don't fit as they would vibrate like hell if the stereo is up loud!!
Did you opt for the something that allowed the dealer to programme your locks to automatically operate over 10mph? If so, not sure my car can be programmed. Can you let me know - Thanks, Ed.
-
Hey Ed, my head is no bigger than a football!!!
Nothing pre-booked or anything like that, we just asked the dealer to sort it................
-
Thanks Matt.
I will ask my dealer for help!
Have a good weekend.
-
Just tell them you'll take it to Oxford VW at Kidlington if they won't
-
You can't get bi-xenons on the a3 mate only normal (low beam) xenons so your golf ones shold be much better

I did wonder  Driving at night on deserted Cotswold lanes have NEVER been so awesome....
I have noticed something that has worried me though.... half way down the drivers door there is a grease right on the edge, the thing is it looks like it's been put there during manufacturing... I'll be getting the dealer to check it out but if anyone else could check there's over i'd really appreciate it.... Drivers side, below the handle and right on the edge... very strange looking..... :undecided:
-
Photo for comparison with area highlighted please?
Cheers matey

I'll post them up on a new topic fella, this grease is freaking me out! :undecided:
