Title: bye bye gearbox! ;-(

ok the golf is officially fooked! the reason we bought a new car is because we just new summit was going to give on the golf! earlier on today we were on about the gearbox 2nd gear as it wont go in whilst turning corners so anyway.............................................

just drove round the block after we washed it and guess what! the 2nd gear has gone through the gearbox! no gears at all nice mess on the road! luckily we taxed the saab today!

any1 wanna help me do a gearbox??? ;-)better still has any1 got a descent one we could have cheap?

ah nuts that's too bad mate... Still, the hole doesn't look that big, you may be able to JB Weld it back up? Sounds like the car's not relied on as a daily driver so that might be an idea....  :smiley:

yeh tis a shame, ahh well glad ive got a saab! the reliable 2nd car!

anybpdy got a spare gearbox then? the guys at work said it could have blown the driveshaft and clutch aswell!

That was a second hand box judging by the yellow writing on the box as well.  Dont you just love the way these cars eat gearboxes(not!!!) Mines on its second and this one is getting noisier by the day!! Im just waiting for it to go bang :sick:
