best thing to do, just see what happens when the rust has been taken off...

or cover it up again, out of site, out of mind!!

its solid!!! and i've sanded rust back and treated it - i'm a busy girl with a tiny bit of initiative!!!! Temporarily put arch trim back on cos im too proud to go to uni tom without!! although it took 3 attempts due to arch crumbling underneath! will apply some hammerite over top tomorrow, luckily arch trim covers it all!

it'll be goin end of year neway!

As said on msn, it's a peice of piss to do, sand it back, prime it, 4-5 colour coats, 2 lacquer coats. The arch is solid so there is no point in just hammeriting the top of it as it will eat back through the arch wall. Get rid of it whilst you can.

its so easy to do, I'd say just do it, try and get rid of as much rust as you can, it'll neaten it up a lot and make it easier to sell, rather than you ending up having to scrap it because noone wants it...

it'll be done right.. just don't need to primer it and paint it to match as it's under arch!

must admit it was worse than expected visually, but still solid.. but it was terrible when i got it! guy who ha it before me had abused it!
