I own a mk3 gti 16v 97 and i want to change the tyres on my standard rims to a lower profile, eg 205/45/15s. Anyone forsee any problems with this?

your speedo will be out by a fair amount. about 8-10% i think.

Any way 2 correct or compensate 4 this?...ideally wnted bigger rims but just spent £295 on knew exhaust so cant afford 4-500 quid rims...

why do you want to reduce the profile?
I can't forsee any benefit that will outweigh having to get the speedo recalibrated?
Besides, aren't 205/55/15's cheaper ;)
