Finally found myself a reasonably decent MK2 Golf. Been wantin one of these for ages but Mr Insurance man said NO!..... until NOWÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â :evil:
89 GTi 16v
Ive just bought some crosshairs, new plates and stuck a sunband on there.... so far anyway.... got a RAMair induction kit and debadged 2 headlight grill on the way.

My Brother in law is in the process of getting his project up and running, this is what mad me want a golf in the first place...
85 GTi 8v
Half mill overbore, new pistons, shells, lightened crank, High lift cam, new injectors, oil and water pumps. Doesnt look like much at the minute but it runs sweet as a nut....

Never thought of even doin that :smug:. What sort of prices are we talking here? :shocked:? I was thinking of getting a used set in the scrappy and getting them painted but this might be more economical in the long run.

Im not surprised :grin: . Im on my way to local guy who brings VAG and FK bits back from germany, got a t-belt, chain and tensioner ordered only Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£48, never know he might have a set of these rims knocking around.

The rims would cost Ãƒâ€šÃ¢â€šÂ¬57.00 + V.A.T each and the cap are Ãƒâ€šÃ¢â€šÂ¬7.00 each this is for a silver cap not black.
both parts are available overnight if ordered before midday.

I Live close to the Donegal border so with the conversion from sterling to euro many things work out cheaper so.....

Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£48.20 Stg per rim Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£6.00 Stg per center. all in = Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£216.80 this includes VAT @ 21% (southern Ireland)

Anyone find this expensive ??? :undecided:
