Title: Wires by accelerator is this normal?
Post by: mrv on 30 April 2006, 18:59
My GTi just arrived and it is superb. I've got one question though. There is a group of cables coming from the top of accelerator pedal area running into the floor that are unsheathed. Is this normal? Could someone check their's and let me know please?

The same on my Golf (Apr 06)

They would look better if the sheathing went all the way, but more importantly these delicate looking "fly-by-wire" control lines need protecting from potential damage. However, it would take someone with a very small foot to actually come in contact with them.
