Title: Hello I am New just ordered a Golf GTI !!

This is my first post although I have been lurking for a while doing a bit of research :nerd:

Anyway Decided the Golf was for my after a couple of test drives

Bought One today

Diamond Black 3dr
18" wheels
cruise
rcd 500


£19800 !!!

and best of all ready to pick up with my private plateon it in 10 days !!!   :grin: :grin: :grin:

I think I got a good deal  :undecided:

Hi

I think I was just in the right place at the right time to get such a good deal, as they had one coming in in the spec I wanted so you wont get such a deal from them.

The guy said if I was to order one it would be 4-6 months delivery and full list price I got the same response from 4 other VW dealers.

I still can't quite believe I got such a good deal from my local dealer too  :smug:

Update I have been to see her tonight looks lovely with the 18s

It has my plate on it and now just needs PDI and valet.

The only thing that is holding things up is my insurance, hopfully this will be delivered to the dealers tomorow so they can register it (private plate), tax it and then it will be all mine  :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: evil laugh booooooooooohahahaha  :evil: :evil: :evil:

Anything I should look for / do when I pick her up ??

Picked up tonight from lookers Darlington they / Gary Oliver have been excellent got flowers and wine and one hour going through the car !!

Its perfect

Hello and welcome to the forum

I think that has got to be the fastest time that someone has ever ordered and recieved their GTI!  :laugh:

to get pictures up you need to create a free account with www.photobucket.com.

then upload you pics from your phone/digi cam onto your PC, then upload your pic into your photobucket gallery. Then once it has uploaded there are 3 boxes with links to the picture underneath, copy and paste the bottom one into a reply to a thread on here and hey presto!!

Well I am very impressed so far, the dealer has been excellent, the sevice superb, the deal brillant, the lead time un heard of.

Obviously just running it in at the moment but on my 17m commute to work 3 miles through town 11 miles motorway 4 miles town I am getting a fantastic 39.4 MPG average over the last 80 odd miles  :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:  :grin: quite a change from last car which struggled to get 20 MPG on the same route (but it did have 350 bhp  :smug: :smug: )

Just one small prob the passenger side indicator lens on the wing mirror has condensation in it, I will get this sorted when they fit the cruise control next week
