Title: thermostat help......

ok my car temp seems to rarely hit 90 now (8v digi) im pretty sure its the thermostat because it takes a while to warm up aswell and seems to sit around 84 most of the time. im pretty certain its a lazy thermostat that is stuck open but does anyone wanna confirm this? or suggest any other checks before i take it all apart?

Run the engine from cold, and feel the bottom hose to the rad.  It should stay stone cold until the temp gauge gets to about half way.  If it starts warming up straight away then the stat is stuck open :)
