Title: Steering lock

Hi,

I need to move my golf into my garage.  The engine has been disengaged now and I dont want the steering wheel lock to come on.

I know this might sound daft but by putting my key into the ignition, will this stop the steering lock coming on.

I dont want to test this and then find out that it doesnt work.

Its in an ok position right now but preferable I need to move it into garage so I can use engine crane.

yes it will.  you wouldnt want the lock to come on while you're driving would you ;)
