Hi all,
I got a puncture 2 days ago and had to use the dumb looking spacesaver wheel. Now I've finally got the pucture repaired and normal wheel back on I have noticed something rather worrying...
When the car is not moving, and I move the steering wheel very slightly to the left and to the right (about a 1 degree turn on the wheel) I get a subtle knocking noise from in front of me and I can feel this through the steering wheel too. Anyone have an idea of what this might be? Hope its not expensive... ???
Cheers,
Mike

have u checked that all your wheel nuts are done up, and how many miles did u do on the space saver!

Yeah, they're all nice and tight.
I did about 30 miles with the spacesaver

Sounds (not literally) like a strut tower. Driving offset w/ the donut might have been the last straw for it.
Put it on a rack and check it out to make sure, if that's all it is you could leave it for a while or if it bother's you.. fix it.
It might be a sign from God to upgrade to a sport suspension. Then again me and God don't speak all that much.
