Title: MW Radio Interference on ny new head unit

Hi, Got my new golf mk4 yesterday and have replaced the gamma radio this morning with a sony mp3 head unit. Sounds great but i have one problem. The MW reception is almost non existent (It seemed a little crackly on the last one too) any ideas?

urm am i right in thinking that that MKIV ariel can't pick up MW  :undecided:  i know on the standard Gamma HU you could only chose between FM and AM  :sad:

you might need some kind of booster or adaptor.................. :sad:

Just found out the Gamma radio contains the booster for the golf aerial. Bingo. I need an external booster. Worth knowing if you swap your head unit and like 5LIVE and Talksport now and again. :smiley:
