Title: Should they stay or should they go?
Post by: golfmk2boy on 28 April 2006, 08:33
Hi,

I have 17s on my car at the moment.  I have bought a blistein -40mm suspension kit and some g60 arches.

Should I keep the wheels on (dunno if the kit will work yet) or should I sell them and get a set of 16s or 15s?

There is 30mm of space from the top of the tyre to the top of the arch at the moment..

Also, my signature pic has been photoshop'd to be low.

tbh I quite like them wheels, not something I would buy but all the same. there used to be a mark 2 parked near college a few years back that used to have them or some very similar that looked rather nice. That was black too!

but they say mark 2's handle better on 15's or 16's.

Yeh, they are ok. I prefer the old skool look tho... maybe get some borbets deep dish ones.

These were on when I bought it, so you could have seen it at your college  :smug:

I done think they will fit when I put the new suspension on however the tyres are pretty low profile so Im not sure.

I want borbets anyway

Im abit stuck....

dont know whether to go for 15's or 16s....  :undecided:

I dont want them to look really small.... I have bought the blistein -40mm kit

Wonder what it will look like with 16s or 15s.

Has anybody got this combination (16 with -40mm) (15 with -40mm).

not the best of angles but thats my valver on 15 inch RA's lowered 55mm, no rubbing or scrubbing at all, just right i think.
