Poss thinkin about fitting a set of 16" audi alloys like the ones from an A4! They look a bit like the RS4 alloys but I cant really afford to buy them so thought this would be a cheaper option! Has anyone fitted these before and if so any pics ! I would like to lower the car slightly but would not want the arches to rub!
If anyone has a set of these wheels and would poss like to do a deal with some mint standard gti rims let me know yeh!

I'm not 100% sure but I think the A4 wheels are the wrong PCD (112 instead of 100). Early (maybe late) A3 wheels would go on OK.

i think you're right about the A4 pcd. early A3 alloys fit but i think late ones are 112 aswell.

Cheers for the info boys
Ill have to see then cos im torn between spending money on my rally car and messing with the golf cos I just cant leave it alone! Will see what happens! Ideally I would drop her on 17" RS4 wheels with proper shocks so she handled nice but not too harsh! I also dont like the idea of the arches rubbing! Is it just the case of cutting the plastic arch or rolling the metal lip???????????
Cheers for any info-Kipsy

I've got a set of 16" wolfrace 5/6 spoke alloys with low profiles that are on my mk3 8v at the minute if you're interested in a swap.... they look a little like the RS4 wheels..... kinda......

F***ing typical. Doubt you'll be interested anymore bud, had a blow out on some crappy backroad yesterday and the wheel in question now has a dirty great dent in it :( Sorry chap.
