Title: Steering wheel question
Post by: kkh120 on 26 April 2006, 22:42
I was wanting to remove the steering wheel on my gti. Took the horn cover off and there is a "plate" covering the securing nut. I didnt want to force this off....is there any easy way to take it off?

The "plate" seems to be attached to the foam centre part of the wheel and doesnt want to seperate.

Just lever ir off...is that what you think?

if its the std wheel you're trying to remove, it will just be the contact plate from the back of the horn push as silkyballs said.  Just lever it off :)
