Been trawling autotrader for hours, all the good ones are gone
-
yeah i had the same problem when looking for mine mate. Its absent minded people who can't be bothered to delete the ads from the site
-
not as quick at top end, but mighty economical.... makes me smile almost
you'll love it when you get one
-
Torque comes very nicely, have you thought about a Golf equivalent like the Leon?
-
Is it the rising fuel prices thats making you switch to a Tdi or do you just fancy a change?
Got and average of 60mpg on my journey yesterday.
-
the goverment is putting the price of diesel up again thats the only thing that puts me off them at the moment
-
Want a diesel as I am doing too many miles for petrol at the moment. As for the price of it, my car is tuned to run on optimax which is £1 per litre anyway, only difference is my petrol does 28mpg and the tdi will do 50+ :smug:
Yes Golf GL I have looked at the leon, but again tidy ones are hard to come by

Same here gaz, even though my company make a contribution to my fuel it doesn't come close to covering the cost at £1 a litre.
Need me a low, phat, smooth, euro rim wearing bora tdi.
-
Question is Gaz, whats your budget??
Want to get rid of my GT 130 and get a MK5 GTI but I still love driving it so the price would have to be right!
Its in the pic below, Full VWSH, covered just over 40k (53 plate)

Shell optimax in Cardiff today was £1.07
-
ive been thinking about seling mine too to buy a diesel since i saw the optimax price last week im still unsure though ive been doing a lot of miles just recently and am sick of spending most of my wages on fuel
-
I should have bought a TDI as well but didn't wish I had petrol costs so much now and it's not gonna go down is it makes you sick I get 40 pence a mile for my car from work but that doesn't even come close to covering it. I think I'm gonna stick with it cause the price of GTI turbo has fallen through the floor as well so I would lose money that way so its six and two threes for me I'm afraid but at least it still makes me smile when I drive it and its still a very cool car in any guise.
