Torque comes very nicely, have you thought about a Golf equivalent like the Leon?

Is it the rising fuel prices thats making you switch to a Tdi or do you just fancy a change?

Got and average of 60mpg on my journey yesterday.

Want a diesel as I am doing too many miles for petrol at the moment.  As for the price of it, my car is tuned to run on optimax which is £1 per litre anyway, only difference is my petrol does 28mpg and the tdi will do 50+ :smug:

Yes Golf GL I have looked at the leon, but again tidy ones are hard to come by

Same here gaz, even though my company make a contribution to my fuel it doesn't come close to covering the cost at £1 a litre.

Need me a low, phat, smooth, euro rim wearing bora tdi.

Question is Gaz, whats your budget??

Want to get rid of my GT 130 and get a MK5 GTI but I still love driving it so the price would have to be right!

Its in the pic below, Full VWSH, covered just over 40k (53 plate)

I should have bought a TDI as well but didn't wish I had petrol costs so much now and it's not gonna go down is it makes you sick I get 40 pence a mile for my car from work but that doesn't even come close to covering it. I think I'm gonna stick with it cause the price of GTI turbo has fallen through the floor as well so I would lose money that way so its six and two threes for me I'm afraid but at least it still makes me smile when I drive it and its still a very cool car in any guise.
