Title: Bonnet Ornaments!!

WTF!!?????????  :shocked:

Was stuck in traffic this morning and there was a silver mk4 golf going the other way with what looked like a metal pig bolted in the centre of the bonnet!!! i didnt know whether to laugh, or jump out, climb on the bonnet and tear it off!!  :grin:

I have never seen anything quite so tacky or poo looking!!  :sick:

I wonder if the old codger had disclosed it as a modification to his insurers? I can just imagine the conversation:
Is the car modified sir?
yes it has a custom bonnet
Oh right, whats that, vented? bonnet bulge?
No its got a bloody great metal pig bolted to it!!!  :grin:

Im all for doing your own thing and creating new trends, but i can hardly ever see it making the cover of PVW! (apart from some sort of bizarre "themed" car they seem to love)

Surely it must be a safety issue too? What if you run someone over? Can you just imagine being imapled by a metal pig?  :sad:

Anyone spotted anything else like this? shame i couldnt get a picture!!

Yeah thing i have seen them too! normally on range rovers!

Still makes me chuckle! I mean, what exactly are they trying so say about themselves?  :smiley:

I cant believe such a thing has even been invented. I mean who actually did all the marketing for it?!

I believe they are optional extras from VW got the mk4. 

You can attatch them to explain to other less in the know people that they look like and handle like pigs.  :lipsrsealed: :evil:
