How easily do the following standard parts fit onto a GL? No way on this earth I can afford GTI insurance yet :embarassed:
GTI front grille
GTI plastic wheel arch trim
GTI rear spoiler
Front / back Mudguards
Any suggestions appreciated thanks!

In a word yes.

Aye they will fit . The only trouble with the VAG rear spolier is you have to drill through the glass !! . Should be able to get one that you dont through other sources .
-
Its safety glass! You cant drill it. It will just shatter.

Good point , brain not engaged :embarassed:
I was trying to say that you will need a gti back window with the holes in .

Unless you declare the changes, your car would techincally be un-insured though!

Really? Even just the odd bit of plastic trim, swapped grill here and there?  The idea came cause I have a bit of rust on the rear arches and after treating them i thought the plastic bits would do a nice job of covering them up.
For arguments sake, imagine if I sold it to someone with the subtle extra stock vag bits. It's feasible that you could do it well enough and someone would not realise a GL didn't come with certain features, certainly not as obvious as 20" alloys, neons, etc. Then again, I guess insurance companies job is to NOT pay out!
