A quick question.....
Are the 8v and 16v throttle bodies interchangable?
-
A short answer, no :)
-
how about a mk3 2.0 8v throttle body? or a G60 throttle body? would there be any advantage, anyway?
-
mk3 2.0 would be no good as its designed for digifant injection, as is the G60 one.
Audi ones apparently work, but don't ask me where to get one!
-
what about on a digifant 8v?
-
i think g60 ones wont because the throttle body comes off the right hand side of the engine as opposed to the left on a digi 8v so i presume to fit it u would either have to mod it or get the inlet manifold aswell. i duont actually know tho im just guessing........
-
digifant 8v is also digifant managment so no good
-
Certain Audi throttle bodies will fit but they're pretty much identical to 16v golf ones.
-
what about on a digifant 8v?
What I mean is I have an 8v digifant mk2 gti, would there be larger digifant based throttle bodies that would fit/work on the digifant engine...
-
Don't think so get it ported and polished ;)
-
ah i see, as said get it ported and polished :)
-
coolio...
well, its better to ask these stupid questions and feel like an eejit than not ask these questions, buy a mk3 throttle body, find it doesnt work and actually be an eejit...
-
I am all for that....that's why I asked the question.
Thanks for all the replys.

how so??
-
Well the 16v is k-jet, and the late 8v digifant, they're different. There isn't any real difference in size anyway so you wouldn't gain anything either way.
