I'm going to get my car lowered on Thursday whats the lowest i could go with shocks and springs my wheels are 18s with 40 profile tyres thanks for the advices
-
You could go -60mm (maybe even more???), but bear in mind that the sump hangs down low enough on standard cars..... Just be careful!!! Personally, I would only go -30/35mm.
Also, don't forget, the lower you go, the more the strain is on driveshafts & bushes etc.
-
i would love to lower mine (it would look better) but the amount of potholes and crap road surfaces round our way is unbelievable
30mm would look good
what width are ur tyres btw my rear ones are 245s

Their 225/40/18 I really want to drop it 40mm will that be ok i'm only worryed about it rubbing the tyres. I don't used the car that much got a company van :undecided:

mine is lowered 35mm, and i have the same wheels as you
ive not had any bother with that, i dont suppose another 5mm will make toooo much difference :undecided:
mine corners like its on rails now , you'll love it when you drop it

What had you change mate just springs or shocks and spring. Have you got any pictures of the side of or car
-
I went and got 40mm springs today and fitted them today it looks cool now i will post a picture up when i get a chance
-
i changed it all to bilsteins (Very very stiff...saving for coilovers now)
rear sits slightly higher than the front, but it happens by all accounts :undecided:..
if all roads were smooth it would be bliss, but around here most are crap, if i done it again i would probably keep the original shocks (if on a budget) and just lower it with the springs.
heres the car slightly side on. hope it helps
