Title: ISO to Pioneer head unit
Post by: rwalker on 22 April 2006, 18:52
Hi folks,

I'm looking for an ISO to pioneer connector and I'm not having much luck.  No doubt I'd be able to order one throught Halfrauds but I dont want to give them 20 notes for it.  Anyone got any ideas?

I don't know if I've got the wrong idea but I thought all radios were I.S.O fitments these days, but its worth going to a local motor factors store it shouldn't be that dear

I have a Pioneer unit in mine....found the simplest way to fit the thing was to strip the wires back and rewire using bullets and a crimper

Just make sure you get the right wires connected

Most new stereos are 'ISO ready', meaning they have a wiring loom to an ISO connector on the back.  Unfortunately my stereo isnt brand new, so I have to find that wiring loom for it.

That was the problem I had origianally.  The last stereo was hard wired, making a mess of things, which meant it was a buggar to fit another stereo.  my fix was to solder in an ISO socket to make it easier in the future.  So I dont want to go back
