Title: mk3 gearbox onto a mk2 engine...

hey

my mk2 1.3 (91) gearbox is in the process of dying, i have a mk3 1.4i (92) gearbox lying around, wondering if that would fit my mk2...

any help much appreciated..

yup should go straight on. as long as they are both for 8v engines and have a cable clutch and a cable speedo drive then there is no problems  :smiley: the casing will be the same but the ratios in side will be different.
