the driver side door lock decided to jam locked today (right outside the stealership as well, how embarrasing :embarassed: :embarassed: )
anyway, i can't even open the door from the inside so i'm thinking that it might be the solenoid or something like that??
biggest problem i have at the moment is being able to open the door so that i can at least get the door card off.
any ideas people?? your help as always is very welcome

Only thing you can do is remove the outer windo trim and try to trigger the lock, make sure it is actually unlocked though. Its a tricky job but eventually it will pop open! You might want to get a spare lock block ready to slap in place.
You havent replaced the lock block recently have you?

i haven't replaced anything at all mate..
i can get the door open onto the latch but no further. the door pin doesn't appear to move (but the lock i guess has turned slightly if i can get it on the latch). would i be able to trigger the lock when it's like this??
btw - what do you mean by trigger :embarassed: :undecided:
cheers for the reply

When you look at the lock mech there are 2 metal fingers on the lock, one locks the door and the other opens the door. By trigger I just mean bash the one that opens the door till it pops open

sorted
the lock was so full of grime it decided to cease. cleaned up and refitted with a new set on order from tomorrow!!
