Title: Wheel advice needed please :)
Post by: Krean on 22 April 2006, 01:47
Hi, I need some advice on a set of wheels i would like to buy. Its a set of kerscher carmonas. The link to the product is http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/wheelinfo.php?make=Kerscher&style=Carmona. Can somebody check the selection to see which wheel is ideal for my mk3 16v gti and what tyres will be ideal for the wheel and the car has standard suspension and has not been lowered. Complete newbie so be easy on me :) Help is appreciated.

all i know is 7.5 width will fit.  dont get a profile of more than 40 as they will rub.  at a guess tyre size will be 205/40/16

ET20 will push the rims out to the arch slightly too much and you will get some catching.

They are set as such from factory...

4x100 - ET 32-38

5x100 - ET 32- 38

A lower ET pushes the rim out from the body, I>E> a ET of 20 will probably hit the arch rim if the suspension is not sorted.
