As most of you may have read my Mk2 turbo went bang on tuesday after only being on the road 4 days.Everyone(family, friends etc)are trying to talk me into getting a newer car,but im in a catch 22 situation in that the car owes me a grand which im not going to get back if i sell it as it is,but then again the rest of the car is so straight and perfect for a eurolook mk2,that im toying with the idea of going to town on it,new lump wheels coilovers etc.Ive got another car to drive so thats not a problem it being off the road for a long period of time(however i need a flat cap and slippers to drive it :grin:Rover 800 vitesse sport 200 bhp turbo. Thanks for looking

toss a coin. heads you keep tails you don't.  whatever the result you'll know what to do if you feel happy or sad.

I think in these situations you allready know what you want to do but its nice to have other people confirm the Way you feel is rite, in for a penny in for a pound mate. Get it done, if the cars that clean its not like your wasting money on a shed is it !

hmmm, tricky one paul. bit gutting about your engine but if the car is that straight...... on the other hand in the year or so that i've known you, you've never found it too hard to find a good project car! i'd get searching and if nothing else turns up then make a start on the ex-turbo!

Thanks for the replies everyone, have made the decision to keep it now, just got to decide what engine to go for now, decisions, decisions :undecided:

wanna buy my S4 engine?
-
would it be too hard to drop a 8v in or something to keep it useable while you ponder the future in terms of project direction?

don't you have an 8v engine knocking about?
anyways, that turbo conversion looked so dodgy...

It wouldnt, apart from i need all the engine wiring loom to convert it back to injection,so i would rather just do the engine once rather than just getting it running again and then changing engines again
