They sound like the mechanism is all loose and are making a right racket. Anyone had similar experiences??

Having the same issue with mine - did u find a resolution?  If so, how much did it set you back?

Try lubing up the linkage i suppose  :)

A generous spray of WD40 on the linkage did the trick!
