Finally got back into the Mk2 fold today, put down a deposit of a nice helios blue valver  It's an F reg but a previous owner stuck big bumpers on it - at least I know what I'm gonna do to it first!
Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow, I'm almost as excited as when I picked up my first car
If anyone wants big bumpers in helios blue then make me an offer!

Not after the bumpers but glad you're back in the fold

Thanks dude! :)
Just been reading on the matey-matey site that to put big bumpers on a small bumper car you have to drill holes in the wings to accomodate the bracket...does this mean I'll need 2 new wings when I switch back to smalls??
Thanks

Not usually....I had a "D" reg 8v modded to hell under the bonnet that was desperately looking weak with the small bumper set up.
The bracket just clipped in fine :o)

why would you want to revert back to small bumpers? they look gay in comparison

Nice one fella  I too have a helios blue valver, tho on a J plate. Fabulous colour isn't it

Helios was the colour I was looking for
I want to revert to smalls primarily because I prefer them, and the bumpers that are on there look silly because all the side trim is for small bumpers too!
Can't decide if I want to go for chromes or not though, since the side of the car hasn't got the red trim ... ah well something for me to ponder in between uni exams!!
