Title: GTI service
Post by: wintaborn on 20 April 2006, 14:23
Howdy Fellas,

Just picked up a GTI 8V in Germany for everyday driving.  It is in sweet condition, with a bit of vibration in the motor that I suspect is in need of new spark plugs.

It is due for the 165,000 service with spark plugs, brake fluid flush, air filter, oil change, pollen filter, etc.  They estimate 300 Euros for the service.  Where I come from in Canada they dont estimate, they have an exact price, however the car has always been dealer serviced and I want to keep it that way to keep the resale value up.  Does 300 Euro seem right for this service.  What have you guys paid?

Tim

Seems about right . They estimate it due to the fact they will give it a once over and if they find anything will call you and see if you want them to make the repairs etc.
