Title: WOBBLY FUEL GAUGE !!!!
Post by: MACCA on 20 April 2006, 09:52
HI DUDES.
SINCE I'VE HAD MY MK3 16v I'VE NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE GOES UP AND DOWN QUITE ALOT,SOMETIMES BY OVER 1/4 OF A TANK, WHEN I TURN CORNERS AND BRAKE AND ACCELERATE.

WHILE THIS ISN'T REALLY A BIG PROBLEM,IT ANNOYS ME SLIGHTLY AND WONDERED IF THERE WAS A CURE ?

 MACCA.....

Yeah, mines up and down most of the time while I,m driving. Not really a problem when you know you've just filled up, but on a long run and your down below 1/4 a tank, your never quite sure.

Seems like the gauge is a bit to sensitive and accurate.

Cheers.

yeah ive got the same try lifting up the boot carpit and fiddle with the wires on top of the fuel pump in the boot, might work(think its the fuel pump your see what it is when you lift the carpit up)
