only for the pretty blue lit dials..... lol
-
i wouldn't swap a turbo lump with a standard Vr lump, never mind if it's all shrick'd up, so not not a very good idea at all...... :undecided:
-
That mean mk3 vr6 still a better car compare with mk4 1.8T?
-
Depends on individual taste, but in my opinion yes.
-
Here's some perfomance stats (for standard cars obviously) :
Engines/Trims Year CC/Cyl BHP Torq Bhp/Ton MPH 0-60 Evo Mag
2.8 VR6 3d 92 2792 / 6 174 170 145 138 7.1
GTi 1.8T 1781 / 4 150 155 123 134 7.8
-
think the stats say it all,
vr6 is a bit more unique than a 1.8t

Thank you so much for all the peoples reply to this topic, please put in more reply!

plus there is the sound of a vr6, words cant even describe its so good!!
-
The only reason to get a MK4 would be because it's newer, but since it's now been superceeded and outclassed by the mkV, that's a pretty poor reason.
Stick with the VR, especially a schricked one, after driving a Seat Leon Cupra 180 it was nice to get back in my VR6 for the smoothness, the torque and the noise. Although i've never driven a mk4 1.8T i'm guessing it's not going to be much different to the Leon performance wise.
Keep the VR6!

I believe the seat 1.8T is faster than mk4 1.8T because of the seat with lighter body,i test drove both mk4 1.8T(150bhp) and mk4 1.8T(180bhp)i still fell my vr6 is faster! The reason i am thinking of getting mk4 1.8T is because i never own one and just fell like test the car out but after reading all the reply maybe i will change my mind!

FOR THOSE MEMEBER IN THISTHEIR FORUM WHO OWN BOTH MK3 VR6 AND MK4 1.8T(now or before)PLEASE SEND IN THEIR POINT OF VIEWS!
