How easy is it to fit H&R hub adapters for some Porsche cookie cutters on my mk2?
Will the wheels stick out so that I cant lower it as much? ???
-
not very hard
and yeah they will stick out!
-
the wheel adapters are usually 15-20mm
and porsche offsets are something silly like et55 or something
so no they wont stick out, thats why you see tonnes of golf's running them
-
cookie cutters are off early 80's 911's arent they?
these wont fit
-
thanx all. Thinking fo buying some BK racing 17's now
-
I presume your all on about adapters that convert 4 stud to 5 stud?. does anyone know H&R,s tel: and how much these adapters are? cos Ive just been offered a set of rims from an audi tt (18") and they would look so sweet on my mk2
-
they are about ?200 for the adapters, and you havent a hope with Audi TT wheels unless you cut half the arch away!!
-
downer thats a shame, I dont think there genuine audi though cos the kid who offered me um was running them on a mk4 golf with no arch mods
-
Ive looked at some Golfs with 17's. Im not bothered about ride quality/handling but im more worried about the effects is has on the suspension, arches, ball joints etc? :-\
What will be the outcome?

yeah the thing is the mk4 golf is the same bolt pattern so it dont need the adapters, the adapters push the wheel out an extra 20mm
but the mk4 has HUGE arches compared to the mk2
get a nice of fat 15's and you'll be laughing
-
the gambit man he speaketh the sense, stick to 15's but go 195/45 profile and they will look good :)
