Title: mk3 gearbox ?

is the gearbox from a gti model mk3 have different ratios than one from a std mk3,  also will they fit a mk1 , otherwise will a mk2 box fit

yes it will... also 8v and 16v had different boxes

if you change the shifter mechanism to cable that'll solve that...
