She was scrapped on thursday the 13th 2006
I didn't crash it or anything like that! The bodywork had rusted away in difficult to fix areas such as around the windscreen, in the door hinge area, fuel flap surrounding area. Not to mention the rear arches (under plastic was a mess), tailgate, etc etc
All the parts worth keeping were removed from the car and either sold on, stored or destined for my edition one.
With all the rust taking over my bodywork it would of cost me more to get that fixed than for me to buy a new car and with the edition one coming along at the right time it was a good chance to move on. I had owned D144 GYN for over 4 1/2 years so a change is nice.

yup. the pre '88 mk2's did. it wasn't a problem though. the edition one's go that way too as it was LHD. I'll fit single wiper probably.

^^ yes my 87 valver used to have wipers going the wrong way. This confused me as my mates mark 1 wipers go the right way!
