Title: Textured paint to replace sill decals ?

The textured matt black vinyl decals for the sills on my early Mk2 are now obsolete. In order to restore to original after some welding on the sills, I have tried to source replacement vinyl from signwriters but they can only supply thinner stuff and not in the right texture. This thin stuff is a pig to fit and will also show the texture of the factory rustproofing on the lower sills anyway. :cry:

Has anyone any suggestions/experience with Matt Black Textured Paint and if so which brand and where from ?
