yep ive had mine done about 2 years ago. Resprayed to the original colour

I stripped the interior and most other parts myself because i didnt want the bodyshop to break anything
Just kept the car legal enough to drive on the road to the bodyshop.

I did get a small discount for stripping half of the car. total cost was about £1100. Shut lines sprayed, windows out job.

The finish is good but if your looking to win a show and shine then your looking at 2k.

im in crawley and could do it for 500 quid.  but it would be a £500 paint job.  its the prep that is time comsuming.  the gti i just did had a caved in front end that i had to rebuild and it was a dent bucket.

Am currently looking in to getting mine repsprayed before the summer, as I realised I have student loan coming in in a couple of weeks and havent decided what its being spent on yet! So am checking out a few places around me (Bath). The problem is I think i may be going to go for a rather expensive one as I love a good finish on paintwork!!! Still, will definately consider it as I have 2 new doors, a tailgate and a wing all in the wrong colours so thats half a spray job already, and will probably cost me 500 quid just to have those bits sprayed!!!

I know a good body shop in Bristol but he's not cheap although he is very good, it all depends on what sort of job your after and how much do you want to spend !

Well, I'm after a fantastic job for not much money, but its just not gonna happen! Am basically looking for a full respray in the original colour, with me doing all the prep work that I can do, to try and cut costs down a bit! It'll cost as much as I can afford!
