Hi all, i was wondering if anyone on here would be able to help me identifying the whiring noise which coming from somewhere in the engine bay, I can;t pint point the exact location but it seem to happen when i exceed over 30mph+. Any idea of what sort of things that can make this noise? Any help would be much appreciated.

i had a whiring noise when my cam belt tensioner plastic had snapped and was rubbing. worth a check cos if it goes it'll cost you

car is due for cambelt change a couple of months time, where about is this plastic located mate? Dont really know where everything located on the 1.8T as yet, got the car about 2 weeks ago :grin:
