I have 215/40/17"     I get slight rub on the rear arches when fully loaded. But only when going over bad bumps.   Oh, and my car is lowerd about 35 to 40 mm.

ive got 205-40-17 on 17's with a 40mm drop but it can be a nightmare with anybody in the back, arches can rub BIG time, handles and looks great though - just bar anybody from the back seat!!!

Also depends on wheel width.

I have 215/40's on 17 x 8's and I get the wheel rub problem with a full load in the back too!

Gonna change to 17 x 7's and see if that makes a difference!

No not bothered. It only happens when I have a FULL load. That means 4 adults and a boot ful of heavy stuff. That only ever happens once in a blue moon so not gonna worry about it!

Oh its not the arches on mine anyway its the leading inside edge of the rear bumper!

Well everyones experience is gonna be different but heres mine!

Could have been that the alloys were cheap, could be my inexperience, but still one of the rims got slightly warped so that was it for me - I was kind of glad in a way. I wussed out and got some 14" genuine VAG alloys instead. It still has a really sporty look but a bit more subtle, I'm much more comfy and handing / accelerations have improved so I'm a happy geeza. Still get very jealous when I see people with 17s though because they look so damn cool!!!
