Title: A few minor teething problems
Post by: inthecity77 on 13 April 2006, 13:36
Alwight dudes,

Im having a few issues with Mr Eightvee.

First is a stuttering during cruising (very minor-but i can feel it), this also is very minor during acceleration.
Its just been serviced and they mentioned something about it having a dirty throttle body, which they cleaned "as best they could". Could it be this? They also mentioned something about early mk3's having a reacall for the throttle body and something else, anyone know owt about that? any help would be good :)

Second, front left of car rotational squelly scraping noise, just started today, worse when i have left lock on, sounds like wheen baring?

One other little thing, the exhaust sounds  abit loose, but only when i reverse!? not sure what that is?

thanks guys

the stuttering might be the relay problem , do a search.

if the rattling comes from the front and is quite high pitched , it's probably the heat sheild , again , very common.

hope this helps.
